Daffy’s Funeral Home Croom is a family-run business, which has been serving the Limerick area since 1929. Our aim is to provide a professional, sensitive and confidential service in respect of every request during this difficult time.

We pride ourselves in maintaining our family-orientated approach in all our dealings with the bereaved family and friends. Our experienced staff are available 24 hours.

Founded in Croom in 1929 by Michael Daffy, Michael set out to provide a specialised meaningful and professional service which Michael’s son Donie has continued since Michael’s passing in 1978.

Donie went on to build one of the first purpose built funeral homes in County Limerick in the late 1970s during which time removals to churches had been from hospital mortuaries and deceased homes.

Daffy’s Funeral Home Croom have now helped generations of families in their time of need.

Today the business has entered into its third generation and is managed by Donie and his son Daniel.

Daniel joined the business on a full-time basis in 2005.

In 2018 Daniel was awarded “The Funeral Directing Certificate Award” with a grade of distinction.

This course is designed by The Irish Association Of Funeral Directors (IAFD) to provide a combination of formal and practical based training to meet the needs of funeral directors.

A death can be an emotionally devastating and financially challenging time, we strive to help guide family and friends through this difficult period of their lives.
This includes offering you our advice and expertise in all options available for the funeral and arranging everything in accordance with your wishes, and those of the deceased, within an agreed budget.

During this difficult time we are available with a full range of services; arranging the complete care of the deceased, including removal from hospital, nursing home or residence to the church, cemetery/crematorium or funeral home.

Our services extend to full preparation, dressing and all necessary legal paperwork. We can arrange church services, death notices, music, live streaming, floral tributes, headstones and monuments and non-denominational services.
